Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is used to analyze the thermal behavior of materials, identifying key parameters such as melting points and phase transitions. The Melt Flow Rate (MFR) test provides an essential viscosity measurement, offering insights into the material's physical attributes. Mechanical performance is evaluated through static testing, which includes tensile, bending, and compression tests using a universal testing machine to determine strength and deformation characteristics. Standardized specimens are produced with a manual press designed to ensure consistency and compliance with established norms. Additionally, a permeameter is used to assess gas impermeability, ensuring that materials meet specific barrier requirements. The resistance to deformation under thermal conditions is determined using HDT/Vicat tests, which measure the material's softening point or deflection temperature. Finally, the Izod impact test measures resistance to impulsive forces, employing a method where an impactor strikes the specimen at a precise point.
